Comment reply to the Max Bernier Show Episode 28 https://youtu.be/g7kuVK1pCAo

I was an environmentalist back in the late 1980s, it doesn't make me an Environmentalist for life, it just means I am conscious of my place in the environment. Unfortunately, what I choose and what the political leaders and corporations choose have two different objectives.

As someone who lives in one of the windiest areas in South-Western Ontario near over 150 wind turbines I can tell you 1) they don't run all the time, 2) they took months to make them compatible with the grid because they are considered to be "dirty" energy. The government of the day negotiated contracts paying 90c/kWh and selling it to consumers for peak 20c/kWh, then jacking up transmission rates and taxes.

Green Energy was an economic disaster in Ontario in regards to wind turbines. Why we didn't focus more on supplementing nuclear and coal with solar and wind on small scale I don't know. Why could we note give each property a smaller scale wind turbine or solar panels and reduce their dependence on the grid. Why, because of money. It's not about being green climate-wise, it's about being green dollar-wise.

Instead of shipping our recyclables overseas, if we don't recycle them into products, then we should burn them here in Canada in energy-generating plants, more power for larger communities through burning waste. Instead of having less people to have less stuff why not just have less stuff? Do we really need 15 kinds of bathroom tissue (ok, maybe during a deadly pandemic but under normal conditions)? Because there's no profit in that for the Ted Turner's of the world. Our problem is that we choose excess over necessity. We don't have to live without to have everything we need to live quality lives.

I responded on 200 I think it was on several concerns. Not sure if it was the right video but it basically caught me up a bit. :)

First, my, albeit short, public dive into the question pool happened, I think, the day before Max's? (assuming he writes his own tweets) rant on Twitter (and it was indeed a rant). I questioned the delay on a Constitution (which every Party has, usually written in the first 30 days of forming the Party). We've been waiting 17 Months for it. I never really pushed for it before, but after all this time, after Months of next to no activity since the election all they can come up with is "it's coming soon".

Second, the straying I did on Twitter, which I have since deleted because I had sworn I was done with all of that when I set up the new direction for Ledicarus Media, was "triggered" by the response "Max" gave which began with "Some idiots...". Some what? Some former candidates, former organizers, and members you mean? I've been shocked by Max's tweets in the part but those were attacking the Press and the Opposition not former volunteers who are probably still voters and members. Some idiots? Is it being an idiot to question secrecy and a lack of transparency in a "Party of the People"? According to Maxime Bernier - Yes.

And it does not surprise me you found out these details about the registration of the PPC when noone else did. I mean, you have demonstrated how clearly skilled you are at the use of that magical tool called Google. It begs the question of whether or not the PPC HQ believed noone would have the intelligence to do a quick Google search for the facts. Oh, but you know what Frank, I hear you are a fearmonger and you make things up so you must have spent hours creating those "fake" Government pages displaying the registration of the PPC. Right?

And a very good point about Elections Canada. They can only provide options dealing with Elections Canada related things. They can't tell you how to get to their neck of the woods, when it comes to forming Political Parties that's what lawyers are for.

I remember when the PPC was first set up there were "former" members asking why Maxime Bernier created the Party as a Corporation. I guess, in a way, they were right, and it does bring pause now almost a year and a half later.

And pay, I didn't get a dime as President of the EDA or Candidate. I did not expect to be paid. But if the PPC Leader had a Pay as MP and then a Pension when he lost, then yes, I have to wonder, did he get paid, and does he get paid as the Leader of the PPC. Heck even Trump gives up his pay every quarter and he's working day and night as President.

https://www.frankvaughan.ca/fpv-200-answering-questions-public-relations-china-and-a-new-politics

I made several notes so they might be out of order a bit here (and this might be in reply to 199 or 201, sorry I was under the weather when I planned to comment on a video I had just watched):

First, this mob mindset, I have been the victim of it myself on Twitter. All of these so called concerned PPC members and supporters who are quick to condemn you and your videos and my opinion without either a) watching your videos first, or b) asking questions. I had one guy tell me I needed to stop being a keyboard warrior and actually do something to get involved. For the first time I told someone that they should "Google me, then we'll talk". I guess he did, discovering that I was not only a PPC Member, a former Candidate and the Former President of our EDA (like you on all counts) because he Muted me in response. Bravo.

On the subject of a PPC Constitution. During 2019 I was pushed a couple times by trolls and former disgruntled members (I guess that's the same thing) on Twitter claiming how could I be so loyal to Max when I was, at the same time, asking for a Constitution. Despite my need for structure and order I never once asked for a Constitution. I agreed, like others, that it was more important to get the Party EDAs and basic structure in place to fight the Libranos. I first called for a Consitution in May - TWO MONTHS after resigning as the EDA President.

I believe I might have brought something up about a Constitution privately during the "post-mortem" survey after the election, but since I've never seen my responses, never had my questions answered, and have never been contacted about my answers (I signed my survey) then I can't be positive.

I have received the Memos and that first one, calling for a Manifesto? I know it's a political thing but since the Unabomber the term "Manifesto" has never been viewed in a positive light. The older people at PPC HQ including Max should know that one. And what is a Manifesto? We had a Platform, we did not have a Constitution. We did not need a summary of what the Party direction was - that's what a Platform covers. A Manifesto? Who the heck thought that one up? I can only guess it was trying to copy the term one of the other Parties used, I think it was in early 2020, about a Manifesto. But, geez, bad word to choose when you are worried about optics.

The People's Party of Canada, be it a non-profit, a not-for-profit, or a Corporation (as I recall way back those 'in the know' were questioning it as) is a Party of the People. As Members of the PPC we are all like shareholders in the PPC Corp. As shareholders we are not unreasonable to demand answers to questions like: Where is the Constitution (after 17 months)? Where does the money get spent? (When we volunteers spent $thousands of our own money and were threatened by Elections Canada with heavy fines and prosecution if we didn't get it filed by early 2020). I get the PPC Corp. has until June, but every business runs weekly, or monthly, or even quarterly statements of their finances. Anyone with any business sense at all knows these documents exist. Max, as an employee, pair or not, his salary would be reported by "Year end". I work for the largest corporation in the World and even they had to have all their reports in by the end of March. It doesn't matter what Elections Canada needs when you are focusing on specific parts of a company's financials.

When Members and former candidates and organizers ask questions the PPC HQ should rush to provide answers. Those answers should not begin with the phrase "Some idiots..."

You had raised a question, not sure if it was this video, about Max's book. That's a very good question. What happened to Max's book that played some pivotal role in the decline of his participation in the Conservative Party. If corruption existed wouldn't you want to prove it? Ezra Levant wasn't afraid to come out with his book on The Libranos (a book I highly recommend to everyone) which basically calls Trudeau and the Liberal Party corrupt. Maxime Bernier surely has the credibility and clout to come out with a book of his own. He could use the profits from it to fund the PPC in some way (taking less of his guaranteed Penion he gets as an MP).

And finally, "Doing Politics Differently" does not mean waiting until you are asked, and then asked again, before you do politics a different way. We all joined the PPC expecting "something different" and many are now left wondering if the PPC is the "same" or "worse" than the corruption Max left in the Conservatives. It really looks bad on Max when it appears that a lack of transparency and accountability exists in the PPC. The same things he accused the Conservatives of (and was, we know, right). If I were leader I would want to demonstrate in every way possible that I was not like that other guy I just spent a year trashing in the press. It is all quite disturbing to say the least.

Basic Draft Of My Canada Gun Laws

5/22/2020

If I were responsible for writing gun laws in Canada, this would be my "rough notes" for the new laws.

Here is what I believe about the ownership and licensing of guns in Canada?

I believe you should have a license to own and use a firearm and this license is two grades – “in training” (required to take initial firearms licensing courses) and “certified” 18-years-old plus (trained to own and use firearms).

Training should be extensive classroom and in-field up to forty hours at cost. Retraining/recertification should be completed every ten years up to age 65 then every five years after age 65.

“In training” rules are stricter, but a 16 to 18 year old can be “in training” provided they complete their forty consecutive hour training courses during that time. Passing the course only at age 18. So for 16-18 they can be with someone fully licensed while they themselves are not fully licensed and operate a firearm.

At age 18, ready or not, they have to complete their training courses. “In training” licenses should be renewed yearly at a cost high enough to compel the individual to complete the proper training courses and achieve “certified” status. This would include thorough background checks (police, mental health, of the license applicant and anyone residing with the individual). The condition that an individual in the residence does not pass background checks could be remedied by storing the firearms in a different location. It would really depend on how negative the results of that background check were. Obviously if someone in the house had previously committed gun or weapons offenses this would affect the related individual who is applying for a firearms license or permit.

A permit, which must record an inventory of the firearms owned by the individual, must include a section permitting the transport of said firearms. This provision is required to transport a firearm from a seller to the individual’s property. The permit only “updates” when a firearm is bought or sold. As with a license it must be “on your person” at all times when transporting firearms.

A concealed carry license, which is the regular “on person” transport of a small firearm, must be renewed every ten years up to age 65 then every five years after age 65. This is a provision added to the certification license.

Save “automatic” (prohibited) firearms and “concealed carry” firearms there are no restrictions on firearms types or clips owned by the individual. Training must cover all types.

The paperwork (in conclusion):
Certification license granting individual right to own and use a firearm.
License provision allowing an individual to conceal carry a firearm (limited).
Permit granting an individual right to own a specific one or collection of firearms.
Permit provision allowing an individual to transport one or several firearms.

Natives would have no special provisions or allowances. You want to own or use a gun in Canada you follow the laws of Canada like everyone else. And, that being said, no province/territory nor the Federal government can give any individual ethnic group or religion special privileges over another. All are equal.

As to firearms themselves I maintain three classes:
Basic - all firearms including concealable
Restricted - those which can be "modified" to operate in an "automatic" capacity (noted in the permit obtained by individual)
Prohibited - "automatic", those capable of firing multiple rounds at one pull of the trigger or multiple rounds in a period of time to be reasonably considered as "automatic" (say for example if you can fire off 10 rounds in 7 seconds each with a pause between that's still automatic). I leave that up to people who know more about guns (not just the RCMP) to decide.

Oversight Councils:
I would have a council (in each province) oversee firearms and licensing consisting of registered firearms advocacy groups, law enforcement and politicians. All would play a role in determining what is and is not legal in Canada (specifically firearms types and capabilities) by deciding what they would want to have in their own provinces/territories. This would give provinces/territories more input into Federal laws. A council at the Federal level would take this input and create national laws and standards which must include and be limited to only the input they have received. They can not arbitrarily add things to the rules provinces/territories come up with.

Smith Discusses Past With Sudbury Soldiers of Odin

5/17/2020

Justin L, Smith (photo used with permission)

Last year you may recall the "investigative journalist" at Global News who attempted to write a hit piece, linked here, about my friend and Financial Agent (for my campaign) Justin L. Smith in a weak and pathetic attempt to tie Maxime Bernier and the PPC to alleged hate groups in Canada. We will be discussing that article in the future but for now I wanted to share this story with you.

If I remember correctly it was in March 2019 that I discussed Justin's past with Justin concerning his involvement with the Soldiers of Odin in Sudbury after an ANTIFA group in Sudbury posted an inaccurate and misleading article stating Justin was an official candidate for the PPC. Basically they were attempting to do what the so-called reputable mainstream media tried six months later. In fact this biased article written by this left-wing ANTIFA group was the source of information for the reporter from Global News. Based on the emails to me and a phone call to Justin, by the reporter, we believe it might have been his only source. So much for "investigative reporting". I can use Google does that make me an "investigative reporter" too?

Anyways, Justin fielded a question from an emailer asking about his involvement with SoO and he answered their questions thoroughly and honestly. The emailer seemed satisfied by his responses. I discussed the situation with the PPC in late spring, asking if we should share the responses he gave so that everyone knew that I was aware of Justin's past. I was instructed to just leave it alone and hopefully it would not come up. Well, I wasn't naive and I'm not even a "professional". I knew it would come up eventually and it did. My contact at the PPC told me after the Global News article came out that I was right that we should have just shared it all back in the spring.

Justin and I have since discussed the whole matter and we decided it was his right to share his side of the story as the inaccurate ANTIFA article and Global News article (that claims he/PPC did not respond when in fact he did) live on in the internet. These articles will be written from our point of view and will not include any emails from the PPC. I have already shared their view on the whole matter back then. I would like to point out in a future article the sad "investigative reporting" and present Justin's official response to the article which Global News refused to print.

For now, let us begin with the email exchange between Justin L. Smith and the emailer whose identity will remain anonymous.

The point of this story is not to endorse or support nor condemn the Soldiers of Odin and/or its membership in any way. It is to tell Justin L. Smith's side of the story involving his activities in Sudbury and some of his participation with the People's Party of Canada. Both the Sudbury Against Fascism [Antifa] group and the "investigative reporter" from Global News failed to do fair and adequate research before writing their defamatory hit pieces. I felt this was unfair and I approached Justin to write these stories over six months later.

Answers provided by Mr. Justin L. Smith were part of an email exchange written in March 2019 and have been re-formatted into questions and answers for ease of reading.

HOW DID THE SOLDIERS OF ODIN GROUP START?

It all started in Finland where a guy created the first group to help their citizens with what they thought of as an important issue - massive immigration levels that significantly increased local crime. It was his and his group’s idea to walk around their communities to report on and deter crime. While many of the alleged perpetrators of local crime were, in fact, Muslim [Islamic], the group’s intent was inaccurately reported as “anti-Muslim” and “anti-immigrant” in the early days. In reality though the group was just trying to be more eyes on the ground to watch for crime committed by anyone not just Muslims.

As you are probably aware the media and those on the left take what they can and spin it in a negative way to make headlines. This regular patrolling combined with the founder’s arrest, led the uneducated media to assume that all people with that group name are the same and painted everyone with the same brush.

CAN YOU TELL US THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE SOLDIERS OF ODIN IN CANADA AND THE SOLDIERS OF ODIN IN FINLAND?

The Soldiers of Odin in Canada did not have a webpage or anything like that when I was involved, beyond the odd Facebook page. The Soldiers of Odin in Canada were mostly comprised of disorderly groups of individuals whereby a lot of locations are on their own using the name and logo for whatever purpose they choose, while others are somewhat united. I have not been a part of the group for some time now so I can not tell you what they have been up to since 2018.

In Canada, the group was created to focus on the issues we had going on here. Originally the Finland group wanted to help their communities and we saw that as a good thing, so we adopted the same name and logo. There was no significance in the Odin name other than the two countries wanted to offer their help to their communities. We did not have a significant increase in crime due to immigration in Canada, so we mainly focused on helping the homeless and veterans.

Eventually, Finland wanted all groups with the SoO name to do what they did even if it did not make sense in our country. They (F-SoO) wanted all chapters to start sending them money for using the name. If either condition was not met, then the countries or chapters were not “Finland approved”. This had little to no effect in reality because here in Canada it was just a term or saying and not an official name for an organization.

This caused a rift within Canada because some did not want to do things the Finland way as they had different priorities than we did while others wanted to be united at any cost. A national vote took place with all the members to see what Canada would do. The voters decided to not follow Finland because our societies and priorities are quite different. But at the same time, it was decided to keep the name and logo unchanged.

This independence from Finland continued for a few months. When some individuals wanted to do things differently and were kicked out of the group because they wanted to be more aggressive instead of cleaning up neighbourhoods. Hamilton and London, for example, formed their own chapters separate from the peaceful Canadian ones. This led to the break-up of the official Canadian Soldiers of Odin (C-SoO) with many chapters re-joining the Finland organization while others operated independently continuing to support local community efforts.

(Editor: note that the “Sons of Odin” are a separate organization, see article here, while researching this story I had a hard time distinguishing the two groups, which are separate. This separation was made by Justin in another part of the email not used in this story. It appears that mainstream media has used a lot of revisionist reporting to state that the "Sons of Odin" and the "Soldiers of Odin" are one and the same, they are not).

WHY KEEP THE SAME NAME AS THE FINLAND ORGANIZATION?

Most of our members were just average people living paycheque to paycheque and could not afford to buy new shirts, hats, et cetera again, that is basically the reason we kept the same name for our group.

WHAT ARE THE FINLAND CHAPTERS DOING IN CANADA?

I am not sure what the “Finland approved” chapters are doing within their communities. I do not have a list of them so I could not even begin to try to find out today. The Soldiers of Odin Ontario was broken up when the rift occurred between the various chapters. Same as the Canadian one even though the name still exists.

WHAT DID THE SUDBURY SOLDIERS OF ODIN GROUP SPECIFICALLY DO?

The Sudbury Chapter of the Soldiers of Odin was one of the earliest chapters and I was involved for just over a year and have not been involved since 2018. During that time, the only things we did were for the community as a whole. These activities included picking up used needles where no one else would including a bushy area directly beside St. Anne’s High School. In the spring we would pick up garbage in various public parks around the city. We assisted elderly veterans with yard work and outdoor projects they could not do themselves at not cost to them. We gave out free winter clothing to anyone who wanted any during our “Warm Event” as well as Subway sandwiches and Tim Hortons coffee and hot chocolate with the cost taken out of our own pockets. We stood outside of the soup kitchen and gave away about a dozen garbage bags worth of hats, boots, coats, sweaters, et cetera. We helped with parking at the organ donor car show during the one summer without advertising or promoting our group in any way with logo clothing or printed materials.

WHAT WAS THE SOLDIERS OF ODIN INVOLVEMENT WITH THE SOUP KITCHEN?

We volunteered at the Blue Door Soup Kitchen in Sudbury because they always needed help and they knew they could rely on us. It was twice a week during the summer we were scheduled and many times outside of that if they needed more people. They would call us up to the morning of and we would go and help them.

We had been helping them on a regular basis for close to a year hassle-free until another local group was created – Sudbury Against Fascism [ANTIFA]. They took what they read online as true and harassed the Soup Kitchen to get us kicked out. The executives in charge of the soup kitchen said that we could continue only if we did not wear anything with our chapter name or logo on it. Since we were only there to help, we agreed without hesitation. The name and logo do not matter as much as those who need help.

That was not enough for the [ANTIFA] group. They continued to harass the soup kitchen until we agreed to stop voluntarily participating in helping those in need. Donors were threatening to pull funding if the Sudbury Against Fascism [ANTIFA] harassment continued, and we did not want that to happen to the soup kitchen.

Surprisingly not a single member of Sudbury Against Fascism [ANTIFA] filled our spots which caused the soup kitchen quite a hardship for a while because they had become dependent on our volunteerism.

WHAT DID THE COMMUNITY SAY ABOUT YOUR INVOLVEMENT WITH THE SOUP KITCHEN?

We received a significant amount of support from the community, including politicians, because we did nothing wrong. Yet we still had to leave because Sudbury Against Fascism [ANTIFA] wanted us out regardless of who suffered.

Whenever one of us were around town and ran into someone who ate at the soup kitchen, they would often say that they missed us. Not once has anyone ever said that we intimidated them or made them fear us or any similar threat but Sudbury Against Fascism [ANTIFA] said that we did and, as you know, the squeakiest wheel always gets the grease.

DID THE SUDBURY SOLDIERS OF ODIN PARTICIPATE IN ANY QUESTIONABLE ACTIVITIES WHEN YOU WERE INVOLVED AS A MEMBER?

The Sudbury chapter never attended any rallies or protests and were instead quite vocal on supporting the community and inclusiveness. We had nothing against anyone who was willing to get along with any religion, race, gender, et cetera. We said that time and time again but those who believe anything, even with proof of the opposite, could not be convinced and continued to put us down. Not one member of the Sudbury chapter had ever done anything negative and yet we continued to be labeled “racist” and “anti-immigration” simply because of the name.

WHAT IS IN THE A NAME?

What is in a name? Not all “Muslims” are bad. We hear that a lot and it is true. So, if a community of people who share the identifying name of “Muslim” have some individuals who commit terrorism and other heinous acts while other individuals of the same name do not does that make the entire community bad? Are all white people racist because some white people are racist? Are all men sexist because some men are sexist? Painting everyone with the same brush is absurd and that is one of the reasons I left the group.

(Editor: It's a lot like ANTIFA, are they "protesters" as many would have you believe or are they really "domestic terrorists"? If ANTIFA groups have a couple individuals who promote violence and anarchy does that mean they are really the representation of all ANTIFA groups everywhere?)

WHY DID YOU LEAVE THE SUDBURY SOLDIERS OF ODIN GROUP?

I knew that even though the group was full of good people (Sudbury) the name would be attached to me negatively and if I wanted to pursue my career in the legal field I could not continue to be associated with them. As short as my stay was with them, however, my past participation in the group and the negative association with the name has remained with me to this day.

HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN YOUR COMMUNITY?

My entire life has been to help the community from elementary school onward, volunteering wherever I lived in whatever capacity I thought was best. Whether through school functions, my church, or local charities and organizations. I gave back and continue to do so. I guess I should have been more selfish and not donated my time and effort because it has led to this, me being labeled almost every name in the book solely because I wanted to make a positive difference in the world around me.

WHY DID YOU MOVE AWAY FROM THE CONSERVATIVE PARTY TO SUPPORT THE PEOPLE’S PARTY OF CANADA?

I agree with the PPC platform entirely and it makes sense. I believe it will benefit the most Canadians instead of neglecting the majority in favour of the minority. I used to mostly agree with the Conservative platform but the PPC has more points to which I align myself. And the Scheer Conservatives are basically Liberals from before the Harper era. Both parties have moved left and now are both in favour of globalism and that is not in the best interest of Canadians. If you look at the votes cast in the last Conservative leadership race, the actions done, and the words spoken, the corruption becomes clearer. Not to mention that the Conservative Party of Canada does not have an actual platform the last time I checked. I went away from the CPC because the other members who are still members support Scheer, and, to me, have the same globalist/elitist agenda, or are at least okay with it and therefore are not pro-Canada.

DID YOU RUN AS A CANDIDATE FOR HURON-BRUCE FOR THE PEOPLE’S PARTY OF CANADA IN 2019?

I have always wanted to do my part to help as many people as I can in any capacity as I can. After Maxime Bernier created the PPC I was involved from day one. There are not many people in the riding who are interested in being involved in politics and so I put my name forth that, if the PPC wanted, I would be willing to be a potential candidate if no one else came forward. I had never been involved in politics before this because no party or leader has ever reflected my personal beliefs or morals.

I joined and helped create our Electoral District Association, and, if they wanted me, I was available. If they choose who would be the face of the PPC, if not me, there would be no hard feelings because I believe in the party and Max wholeheartedly and I will support the party any way that I can. From holding a sign in the cold weather to running the local election campaign, I am at their disposal.

IF YOU ARE NOT CHOSEN AS CANDIDATE WHAT WILL YOU DO?

Once they have chosen who they want to be the Huron-Bruce fact of the PPC I will either continue down my legal career path or put that on hold and hopefully work for them in Ottawa for the next four years. I believe that being a part of the Federal government will help the most people because everything they do has the potential to impact the entire nation.

EDITOR UPDATE: Justin L. Smith was not chosen as the official candidate for the PPC Huron-Bruce in 2019. The Anti-Racist Sudbury [ANTIFA] was informed of this error in July 2019 but after nine months still has never retracted or corrected their article. As is typical with the left it's not about "accuracy" so much as it is about labeling everyone "racist" in some sad attempt to silence them.

Leaving The PPC

5/17/2020

This was a comment reply I made on a video on www.frankvaughan.ca that I decided I should share with you here.

---------------------

Careful Frank you’ll lose out on those truckloads of cash you were getting from the PPC 😉

So how many emails and messages did you get saying that Max and the PPC will fire you over the comments you made. I’ve been separated from our local association for a month and a half and there are people who still think that I care what the PPC thinks about my personal opinions.

It bothered me (it doesn’t anymore) that in the last 5 months the only emails I got from Max were just repeating what he said publicly but making sure to add the pitch for donating at the end of each. Donating to what? We never received a dime from PPC HQ last year (association or campaign). I asked several times for, at least, the membership dues from our riding members who joined through HQ but they wouldn’t even cough up the $0 to $1,500 to support our local association. Not one dime! It was only thanks to me, Justin, and a few loyal members that our association was able to keep going and I was able to run in the election (I’m still about $2,000 in debt over it all).

I tried to maintain my role with the PPC for the first months of this year. I even, with my health issues, tried to apply for the position of Regional coordinator that opened up after the election. I suggested it in an email and they replied that if I was interested to just let them know so they could get the ball rolling. They sent me the outline of the position responsibilities. So, like any job that requires a lot of thought to accept I took days (including Sat/Sun) to think about it. I asked a couple of my friends about it, weighed the pros and cons, and on the 5th day sent an email stating I was interested. With no application process, with no back and forth, I got an email back stating I had ‘taken too long to decide and they’d filled the position’ already. A position that was barely advertised. A VOLUNTEER position no less. The new guy emailed me asking for my info and any info of our executive. The HQ didn’t give him that? He didn’t even think to check on Elections Canada where the names and numbers are all listed? And this guy was “very qualified”? Who is in charge up there?

I never received a call from Max after the election, not that I wanted it. I hate talking on the phone. But months and months later I get an email asking if I’ve been called. You can’t keep track?? Print a list of candidates and cross their names off when you call. Like I said I don’t want a call but if you had more “people” in the Party there’d be more completion of tasks and moving forward. All the momentum we gained before and with the election has been lost in the last six months.

I spent $1,500+ on the Party (association), about $122 on Party and $$$ all of my own money on the election last year and I’m still being hit up every week for $2 or $3 or whatever. For what? Same as during the build-up to the election. Our local members were constantly hit up for money by Max and the HQ taking it away from our local association. That would have been okay if our local association got a piece of the pie but we didn’t.

After the incident over the new position, I sat down to weigh the pros and cons of being an executive of the PPC association locally. Adding to my health issues I decided that I needed to step down and focus on my own health while having the freedom and platform (social media) to express myself freely without worrying about what anyone thought about it. I am very disappointed in the 2020 trend of the PPC.
I have yet to see the “People” in the People’s Party of Canada since the election (and not much before it). It has taken a year and still no Constitution, a year and still no structure, no updated guidelines, no financial support. It has been 6 months and just at the end of last month did they finally re-structure the Party HQ and consider getting the lower tiers. I spoke to the person who replaced me as President/CEO and they have yet to hear if they’ve even been accepted or not. A “copy-paste” is the best description I’ve heard for the PPC 2020.

The tweets from “Max” last year were horrible at times (especially during the Greta and abortion debates) and I expressed that a couple times. We found ourselves as candidates and the association scrambling to defend ourselves or have a position on the latest “Max” tweet. We didn’t even get a heads up to what was coming before BAM! here you go now explain why “Max” said it. I guess on the flip side at least “Max” (the twitter) had his own opinion separate from other “people” in the Party.
I don’t speak for Max or for the PPC, I speak for Canada – the Canada that I want and I hope others do too and that’s my path forward in 2020.

As for China. The United States (Trump) doesn’t want a Canada dependent on foreign nations like China. I believe Trump wants Canada to be a strong nationalist country. He doesn’t want to deal with weaklings, he respects and wants trade with strength. A strong Canadian neighbour contributes to US security. A weak Canada puts the US at risk. The US will see Canada as a risk as long as we allow Communist China to continue to infiltrate our cities and destabilize our economy. I place blame in our leadership AND the US for the position we are in today. If American businesses did not leave Canada it would not have created voids for China to walk right in.

Inverted Flag

One of these days I'll write an article with links and pretty pictures about this but for now I'll just rant with some passion.

I've said it before and I will say it again, flying the Canadian flag inverted is pathetic and spits in the very face of our veterans and the democracy you claim to want.

A comment reads: "It’s meant to be a sign of a country in distress and not a sign of disrespect."

yeah but in reality today it's a bs exploitation of a scene from a movie where even the lead character couldn't be so disrespectful to his nation to hang it upside down. No one has actually done that in over 100 years and then it was during a war and utter collapse of nation not a pathetic attempt by some guy stuck living in his mom's basement to get their 15 minutes of fame on YouTube.

In Canadian terms it is implying that our government has fallen to tyranny and you're basically calling out for help from a third party to come and assist. In our modern system this would be openly inviting the UN to step in and take over control to restore order. Since we know their mandate now is to do the opposite then anyone flying the flag upside down is basically asking for the collapse of our "failed" sovereignty and not restoration to order. Our system of government is neither in distress nor failing. Idiots keep voting in idiots who exploit legally our functioning democratic system.

Our nation is not failing nor is it in democratic distress we just have a lot of idiots who are allowed to vote and common sense people who are ignorant and complacent in their voting. Yes I'm very passionate about this disrespect (not historical once US symbol of distress).

What does flying the flag upside down really mean in Canada?

It means you are content to sit on your butts watching reality television bitching and moaning about the latest stupid thing the Prime Minister has done. Less and less of you will vote with your conscience in the next election and instead vote for 'the other guy' in a psychotic flip flopping between red and blue (which in reality are the same thing). Fewer still with be the number of people reading this who will ever stand up and run for office to speak for that democracy we claim to hold so close to your hearts. While pretty much none of you (including myself) would willingly take up arms to fight for the democracy and freedom that our proud Canadian flag represents.

If you are not willing to take real action yourself (and I do not mean Likes or Tweets or hashtags or signing yet another useless petition that will never see the inside of the House of Commons) then our nation truly is lost and the UN should just come in take over and close the history books on Canada.

And our veterans living here in Canada would never disrespect the flag in this way. I thought I was alone in this, since so many people "think" they know everything. So I decided to do a websearch right now and it took all of 3 seconds to find this article https://www.caledonenterprise.com/opinion-story/6063222-no-honour-in-flying-canadian-flag-upside-down/ written by a nice female who likely voted Liberal in the last election because Justin is just so handsome and dreamy :/

oh look, I found the opinion of a few actual veterans on this and an entitled Millennial who claims his personal rights trump the meaning for millions of Canadians https://toronto.citynews.ca/2016/07/20/caledon-man-angers-veterans-by-flying-canadian-flags-upside-down/

hell even the AMERICANS understand!

some ex-pat from Ontario living in Australia sent me this screenshot. I guarantee you he doesn't have a Canadian flag flying outside his house beneath the Australian one. I flew my Canadian flag in Ohio below the US flag for the 8 years I lived in the US. Ironically on a street with over 40 homes in the oh-so-show-our-national-pride country of the United States I (a Canadian) was one of only THREE on the street displaying a US flag.

Canada 2120

Here are questions we as a Canadian society must start finding the answers because 100 years from now historians (if Canada is still around, which is highly unlikely) will look back at 2020 and be asking these very same questions...

Why did the Canadian government quarantine healthy people along with the sick?

Why did the Canadian government allow sick people into a country full of healthy people?

Why did Canadians elect a Drama teacher as their Prime Minister, not once but twice, and put a Graphic Designer in charge of their Health Care?

Why did the Canadian government just repeat everything the Communist Party told them to say?

Why did the Canadian Prime Minister declare Canada to be a post-nationalist country when so many Canadians stood up and repeatedly proclaimed their sovereignty as a nation?

Why did the Canadian Prime Minister endorse terrorists and reward them with taxpayer money?

Why did Canadians allow their children to be experimented on, their bodies manipulated and damaged beyond repair? And, on that, what is a third, thirty third, and one hundred and third gender when science has proven centuries ago all that exists are male and female?

Some day historians, our children's children's children will be asking these very same questions.

Make sure they have the facts.

Un-Limited Data

Cell phone companies should not be allowed to use the term "UNLIMITED" when offering their data plans. If you allow someone to go up to 10GB and then throttle their download speed down to almost nothing (512KB/s vs 15-20MB/s) then you are LIMITING their data capabilities. This is yet another way the CRTC demonstrates they are in the back pockets of Bell, Rogers, and Telus and not protecting Canadians.

Made in Canada

Let's change the rules and eliminate the grey areas.

1. MADE IN CANADA - containing 100% components manufactured or ingredients grown (etc) in Canada. 100% or not at all. If you make a table and say it is MADE IN CANADA then the wood in that table better be from BC. Glue, nails, they can come from other places and not be counted. I know I said 100% but let's be reasonable and say 90%. Though if you made a table from nails imported I'd be curious to know why because we have lots of steel here in Canada to make nails out of. Glue, it could be made here, and once some of its parts are imported to here and created then it becomes 100% Canadian.

2. PRODUCT OF CANADA - allowed to contain other country components or ingredients (etc) and assembled in Canada. Any parts included from other countries must be listed under a COUNTRY OF ORIGIN section on the label. For example, you can peaches from Florida in a factory here in Ontario, that's great, you can put Product of Canada on the label, but you must also include COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: Peaches (United States) on the side.

3. ASSEMBLED IN CANADA - same as Product of Canada.

Otherwise anything sold in Canada not handled here in Canada (assembly, produced, grown, whatever) must list COUNTRY OF ORIGIN on the label. Not just product, not just made in, I want to know every country that can of peaches imported from the US came from originally. You can even put under Country of Origin, PRODUCT (USA) then list the rest to indicate it went to the US last (like Product of Canada). Even if you got the peach syrup from a batch of Brazilian sugar cane then you must list PEACHES (USA) SYRUP Sugar Cane (Brazil).

So to clarify, on the side of a can of peaches imported from the USA:

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN
PRODUCT (USA)
Peaches (USA)
Cane Sugar (Brazil)

That assumes that the can was created in the USA, otherwise:

COUNTRY OF ORIGIN
PRODUCT (USA)
PACKAGING (Mexico)
Peaches (USA)
Cane Sugar (Brazil)

If your peaches came from Florida, Mexico and Cuba, for example, then the label would read:
Peaches (USA, Mexico, Cuba) or you'd better know which one it is to exclude the others.

If you want to sell products in Canada you must have English and French labeling. There is no reason we can't enforce these label laws as well. Want to make it easier on yourself? Open a factory in Canada.

Grabbed Your Guns

Frank Vaughan On Gun Grab
Epoch Times Reports On Gun Grab

This demonstrates what I have been saying about Trudeau all along. Trudeau would not be able to do these things where the system not set up to allow him to.

Yes Trudeau is a problem. Yes the Liberals are a problem. But the problem goes much deeper than a failed leader or political party. Our system is at fault for giving Trudeau, and any Prime Minister, the ability to enact laws and actions without Parliamentary vote.

Stop with the nonsense about treason and start focusing on the bigger problem. We have a system that ALLOWS government overreach with little or no transparency or accountability. Just kicking out one leader and voting in their shadow is not going to change this. Trudeau did what he did concerning firearms because he had the power to do so. When Canadians wake up and stop trying to go after just Trudeau and instead go after our broken system only then will corruption cease in our nation. WAKE UP!

We need real leadership. We need real change in Canada. It exists, but the power and control of the lobby groups and special interest groups is great enough that true leaders can not rise up through the ranks without being ridiculously labeled as "racist" or "bigot" or "inflammatory". You know exactly who I'm talking about.
