I made several notes so they might be out of order a bit here (and this might be in reply to 199 or 201, sorry I was under the weather when I planned to comment on a video I had just watched): First, this mob mindset, I have been the victim of it myself on Twitter. All of these so called concerned PPC members and supporters who are quick to condemn you and your videos and my opinion without either a) watching your videos first, or b) asking questions. I had one guy tell me I needed to stop being a keyboard warrior and actually do something to get involved. For the first time I told someone that they should "Google me, then we'll talk". I guess he did, discovering that I was not only a PPC Member, a former Candidate and the Former President of our EDA (like you on all counts) because he Muted me in response. Bravo. On the subject of a PPC Constitution. During 2019 I was pushed a couple times by trolls and former disgruntled members (I guess that's the same thing) on Twitter claiming how could I be so loyal to Max when I was, at the same time, asking for a Constitution. Despite my need for structure and order I never once asked for a Constitution. I agreed, like others, that it was more important to get the Party EDAs and basic structure in place to fight the Libranos. I first called for a Consitution in May - TWO MONTHS after resigning as the EDA President. I believe I might have brought something up about a Constitution privately during the "post-mortem" survey after the election, but since I've never seen my responses, never had my questions answered, and have never been contacted about my answers (I signed my survey) then I can't be positive. I have received the Memos and that first one, calling for a Manifesto? I know it's a political thing but since the Unabomber the term "Manifesto" has never been viewed in a positive light. The older people at PPC HQ including Max should know that one. And what is a Manifesto? We had a Platform, we did not have a Constitution. We did not need a summary of what the Party direction was - that's what a Platform covers. A Manifesto? Who the heck thought that one up? I can only guess it was trying to copy the term one of the other Parties used, I think it was in early 2020, about a Manifesto. But, geez, bad word to choose when you are worried about optics. The People's Party of Canada, be it a non-profit, a not-for-profit, or a Corporation (as I recall way back those 'in the know' were questioning it as) is a Party of the People. As Members of the PPC we are all like shareholders in the PPC Corp. As shareholders we are not unreasonable to demand answers to questions like: Where is the Constitution (after 17 months)? Where does the money get spent? (When we volunteers spent $thousands of our own money and were threatened by Elections Canada with heavy fines and prosecution if we didn't get it filed by early 2020). I get the PPC Corp. has until June, but every business runs weekly, or monthly, or even quarterly statements of their finances. Anyone with any business sense at all knows these documents exist. Max, as an employee, pair or not, his salary would be reported by "Year end". I work for the largest corporation in the World and even they had to have all their reports in by the end of March. It doesn't matter what Elections Canada needs when you are focusing on specific parts of a company's financials. When Members and former candidates and organizers ask questions the PPC HQ should rush to provide answers. Those answers should not begin with the phrase "Some idiots..." You had raised a question, not sure if it was this video, about Max's book. That's a very good question. What happened to Max's book that played some pivotal role in the decline of his participation in the Conservative Party. If corruption existed wouldn't you want to prove it? Ezra Levant wasn't afraid to come out with his book on The Libranos (a book I highly recommend to everyone) which basically calls Trudeau and the Liberal Party corrupt. Maxime Bernier surely has the credibility and clout to come out with a book of his own. He could use the profits from it to fund the PPC in some way (taking less of his guaranteed Penion he gets as an MP). And finally, "Doing Politics Differently" does not mean waiting until you are asked, and then asked again, before you do politics a different way. We all joined the PPC expecting "something different" and many are now left wondering if the PPC is the "same" or "worse" than the corruption Max left in the Conservatives. It really looks bad on Max when it appears that a lack of transparency and accountability exists in the PPC. The same things he accused the Conservatives of (and was, we know, right). If I were leader I would want to demonstrate in every way possible that I was not like that other guy I just spent a year trashing in the press. It is all quite disturbing to say the least. ~Kevin M.
