The question is: Okay, bear with me and my simple mind... you get run over on a four lane highway by a driver that couldn’t stop in time or did not see you in the first place as you are protesting...who is at fault and can be held liable? ~CM My response is: That's a good question. Many of these so called protests (I call domestic terrorism) are well marked, however, I'd have to wonder. If you honestly didn't know there was a protest and the police weren't there to adequately warn you you could find yourself accidentally running one of these idiots over. Since pedestrians aren't allowed on primary roadways really they are at fault for being out there. Some US States I've noticed will allow motorists to continue through the human blockade because standing in the middle of the road like this is illegal everywhere in North America (that I'm aware of). Legal protests are only allowed so many metres up away from the roadway on the shoulder or on the sidewalk in urban settings and even then I think only certain roadways as on a highway would be deemed an unsafe distraction to motorists (like a bright roadside sign).
