I've started a new feature on our YouTube channel called "Led's Musings" where I give my opinions about the Paranormal and Paranormal Investigating. You can check it out at the link below. Thanks for watching!

I'm not entirely certain what is going on here. This site was located about 3 metres away from a campsite and the passing pedestrian trail. It doesn't appear to have a practical purpose as there would be no reason to light a fire in a pit so close to a proper campfire ring. I'm guessing this was something set up by kids, but it's still unusual enough to mention here. It is located in Inverhuron Provincial Park, Inverhuron, Ontario, Canada.

COMMENT: When Marcos said "you can use the energy in our bodies" he gave the demons full permission to hitchhike. It was a cool idea having him help but his noob experience could of seriously injured one of you guys. The malicious paranormal is not a joke and something to play with. I'm sure you guys are well aware. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes MY RESPONSE: I don't agree. We offer our energy openly every day to those around us, there is a significant difference between "offering energy" and "offering possession". I believe many instances of possession, like that of Wyatt, are more resembling an infection than a full body invasion of the host. The host must be willing to accept the possession which I doubt Wyatt was, instead it latches on to the person, acting like a virus or infection and can be removed with strong will, prayer and sage. Marcos did not invite "possession" he only offered "energy", even a demonic spirit would not see this as an open invitation to possess someone. -------------------------------------------------- On the discussion of spirits being conscious entities, Unless we are able to generate intelligent responses from a ghost of their role and existence in their physical life then I would not say they are a conscious carry forward of their living existence. They seem to be to me either a carbon copy or a damaged copy of what they were in their physical life. And probably now we are attempting to communicate with a clone of the consciousness or soul that has already passed on. Perhaps we leave a part of ourselves behind or we are fragmented by our own consciousness, dooming ourselves to wander until we can be whole again. One might say that poltergeists are a conscious act however do we know that for sure Perhaps it is a more of a primal action and not a conscious one. Much like breathing or eating basic responses and not something that requires frequent conscious thought and decision making processes. These photos can be explained away as simple camera lens flare anomalies.
It should be noted: 1. many of these photos were taken along the North Saskatchewan River and Lake Abraham, in Alberta, with some taken in the Inverhuron Provincial Park (located in a resort community on former indigenous inhabited grounds). 2. the sun changes position from photo to photo but the orb appears in different places in the photo as well 3. you can distinctively tell the difference between sun reflecting off snow and the orb anomaly 4. In over 30,000 photos I have taken since 2009 these orbs appear in less than 25 photos. 5, There are 2 photos missing from this album. I tried to explain this event to someone a couple weeks ago but they just looked at me like I was telling them a tall tale. I know this happened the way I remember it, I was not alone when it happened and I even spoke with the person with me a few months later and they still do not quite understand what unfolded that day. So I have to try and explain this in straight forward practical terms first, and then tell you what happened to us, if only to try and make it sound sensible to you. I am going to give the streets and avenues names so that it is easier to follow along, but know that these names are not the actual names of the roads and the town name is not disclosed. I do not want people going there, not having the same experience, and trying to tell me I am crazy or something. I know what happened, my friend knows what happened, and whether it would happen again or not the same way neither of us know nor need to know. Imagine if you will a single residential street running north and south. The street, we will call it 1st Street, goes north for several blocks before ending at a T-intersection. There is a single block, two rows of houses running east and west. 1st Street continues on north after skipping over this one block of homes. Basically there is a one block break in the continuity of 1st Street. In order to compensate for this the traveler who desires to continue north on 1st Street must make a detour around the homes. To do this they will travel one (half) block east on 1st Avenue. Meet up with 2nd Street. Go north on 2nd Street for the length of two rows of houses (about 1/2 block) then head west down 2nd Avenue for one (half) block before turning right (north) onto 1st Street. Follow so far? The traveler needs to make a short jog (the length of about 3-4 homes) off course to another street in order to go a short distance (2-homes) before jogging back west and meeting up with the rest of 1st Street. It sounds simple right? You travel north on 1st Street until you "dead end" at a T-intersection. The road stops heading north and there before you stands a house. You look on your map and you see how you can "get around" the homes in order to continue on your way north on 1st Street. So we did exactly that. My friend and me were out campaigning for my election. This involved walking several kilometres through residential neighbourhoods placing pamphlets on the doors of potential voters. We were following a map provided by the local tourism office, outlining all of the residential and commercial streets in this small town. We walked north, and stopped face to face with the houses. We walked about 2 houses to the east where we met up with another North-South street (which I am calling 2nd Street). We walked north on 2nd Street for 2 homes, then turned left down 2nd Avenue. We expected to walk 2 or maybe 3 houses west before we should be standing in another T-intersection. This time we would turn right and continue on north up 1st Street. We should see houses to our left at this intersection and the road we were standing on (2nd Avenue) continuing west for several blocks to meet up with the main road. The strange thing was, when we walked those couple houses west, and got to the intersection, we found ourselves at a four-way corner. To our left should have been houses. The next row of houses running behind those we had to divert around to get to the other 'half' of 1st Street. I stood there in the intersection and called out to my friend to come look at the map and where I was standing. He came over and we both looked south. Instead of houses the street continued south, dead ending at a small pedestrian bridge and then clearly continuing on for several blocks until reaching another part of what we figured was the end of the main road we had started walking up 1st Street from. But how could this be? We had walked 2-3 houses to the east, 2 houses north, and 2-3 houses to the west. We should be standing in another T-intersection and not looking south down a street. The street, at least that portion of it should not have existed according to the map. The map was, maybe, 5-10 years old, but the houses in that block, particularly the one at the T-intersection we faced heading north, was at least 40-50 years old. So walking north we met up with a T-intersection. Standing one block north of that T-intersection we were in the middle of a 4-way intersection? How is that possible? It is not like it was easy to get lost or disoriented. We had barely traveled half a block on foot no less. So from the street heading north we saw at least one, if not two, houses, and from the street looking south there was a street where the houses should be. It was a very strange event. At the time we wrote it off to a map error, since we were trying to get as many pamphlets distributed as possible before sunset. Neither of us can remember what town we were in where this happened nor come up with a reasonable explanation for it. If I were saying it was paranormal it is almost like we found one of those glitches in the matrix you hear about. I personally still think it was just a map error and, somehow, even though we had walked less than one block, we were just disoriented. Still, you have to wonder, why neither of us can remember what town it was in. We did not try going south, we continued north on 1st Street and did not return to that spot later on. It was a strange day indeed. The other night I had an interesting dream. I was standing in a courtyard with another person. We approached a small door in the wall of a nearby building. Standing in front of the door was a gray heron. It appeared the door was made just the right size for the bird.
The person I was with made some comment about it being a crane. This appeared to offend the bird as it took a step back pointing its beak toward us and pulling in its wings close to its body. I disagree with the person. As we stepped toward the bird I said "one must call her by her proper name, the heron". I put out my left hand toward the bird and something magical happened. The birds' beak and eyes transformed into the face of a pale but beautiful young woman. She reminded me of the girl from a movie I had seen, not positive which one though. From her body near her right wing a feathery gray and white appendage transformed into a white gloved hand with long fingers. I saw the hand form, the fingers grow out and the glove appear over the flesh. She smiled at my comment and put her hand out for me to take. I took it and helped her down a single step in front of the door. It was then I woke up. "In Greek myths, Heron is God’s messenger, so it was wrong to harm one in any way as it brought terrible luck." I do not know if I knew that at the time, but the character in my dream appeared to know the respectful way to treat a heron, perhaps knowing it could transform into this nature spirit part bird part human? It was around December of last year that I saw, what I believe to be a shadow figure, running across the road. I was on Concession 15 just approaching the left turn to Albert Road in Inverhuron, outside of the Inverhuron Provincial Park. It was late at night, around 10:45pm. As I slowed down to make the turn my headlights shone westward down the road illuminating the asphalt and snow covered areas of grass on either side of the road. I was just about to the corner when a grayish-black transparent shadow, standing about six and a half feet tall darted across the road from right to left and into a lot on the corner. I lost sight of it behind some bushes and a small service building located on the lot. The figure was, as noted, quite tall, taller than a normal human. It was definitely not alive since I could see through it. It resembled a sort of wispy shadow and moved very fast. It had made its' way across the road and out of sight while I had barely covered thirty feet (10 metres) of road decelerating for the turn. It was not an animal, or a living person, and at the time I could sense I had seen something pass, not just my imagination. I paused before making the turn, my headlights shining into the empty yard. I am not certain if it was the shadow of something that had come to pass or the apparition of something. I have not seen it since. I can tell you that when I take walks in Inverhuron Provincial Park, many times I feel like someone, or more appropriately something, is watching me. It does not feel malicious, per say so much as just an ominous presence somewhere in the thick of the woods, sometimes. Photo taken at night outside a cabin near Bighorn, Alberta. There are a couple stars clear in the blackness above. The two things to note are: in photo on the left with the tree illuminated by the flash. If you look at the very middle, then down toward the lower right you can see a single white orb illuminated near a tree. I do not think this is caused by the flash. In the second photo on the right you see another tiny orb lower left, a blur mid left, and then what I believe to be another orb in the upper left. Close examination of the photo you can see two stars in the black night sky, mid left in the blackness and just right of upper center of the blackness. It is possible the orb in the upper left is a star but it seems so much closer. I am ruling it as a star though personally. Next up are impressions in the snow of what appear to be large footprints. These photos were taken near the Old Nordegg, Alberta Ghost Town.
Let's pretend it was a person, even if they could step that far apart they would leave a slightly bigger than their footprint impression. And what animal could do this? Honestly I don't know what caused this, but we will have to rule it was snow which had frozen, collapsed under the weight of footsteps of a very tall person or perhaps an animal and then snow fell overtop. I enhanced the image on the left making it darker so you could see the impressions in the snow. I put a photo, enhanced and darkened, of my footprints in the snow, below, for comparison. These are my photos of unusual and strange phenomenon with some of my findings. Photos taken with my camera, I zoomed in on the stars with editing software and got some unique results. I thought I had just captured a photo of the moon (then enhanced it with the metallic filter). I noticed a tiny mark in the blackness of space, then another, and another, (I enhanced them with Zoom) and they turned out to be ... I don't know, constellations? cosmic spirals? stars burning? This photo only shows a few of them. I have no idea what this circle is on my windshield. I camped in my truck overnight and woke up to this view. This strange anomaly appeared in the frost on the windshield of my truck. I was parked in a backcountry camping spot along Abraham Lake, Alberta. I never saw this spot appear as I was taking a nap in the back of my SUV. This was the first and last time I saw this anomaly in the seven years I owned the truck.
The light in the photo below isn't paranormal. I got this off of a trail camera recording a vehicle that stopped briefly in line with the camera. This is, however, the same location I picked up brief creepy music on the camera discussed on our unexplained videos section.
I had a dream last night. I was sitting at a metal café table in the front lawn of a Victorian home. The house had been converted to include a small bistro restaurant. I thought I was in a city, that I am familiar with, because I recognized the name of a beach being several blocks away to the north. The house was on a tree lined street with the river running parallel to the other side of the road. The yard I was seated in had two large trees towering overhead, maples, the side yard had at least two more trees, also maple but with trunks a quarter smaller in thickness, maybe planted a couple decades later?
The house was two storeys plus attic, so is that two and a half or three storeys total? It was old red brick with a round porch off to the left facing the side street. The side facing us had a long indoor porch, with six paned windows, it ran two thirds from the right end of the façade. It was four to six steps up to the door and into the porch which had been renovated to have a larger interior doorway into the house. There was a dining area inside the house, somehow, I just knew it without ever seeing it during the dream. The problem was across the river was the downtown core, but the red brick buildings were spaced apart I could see the main street road and across it to an empty lot. The downtown core, as I know it, is blocks of buildings with only a few breaks in the long rows, and there are no freestanding buildings on the river side of main street. Our server/waitress was a woman in her twenties, slender build, shoulder length brown hair, friendly facial features wearing a pressed white dress shirt and black skirt. I invited her to sit down as she served us. I was sitting opposite a male, not sure who, he listened in on our conversation and kept looking off to his right past the bushes up the street. I noticed there was two elderly women sitting at a table to my right closer to a path that ran down the front yard from the door of the house. I am not certain how our table was able to remain stable on the grass lawn, but something tells me it was held in place by pins through the base. The chairs were repositionable and somewhat evenly balanced. Each table had three chairs around it. She sat down or leaned in on my right as we conversed. I found out her name, which I will not include here except the initials EAW. I remember talking about summer tourism traffic and how I worked in the third, or second, most popular tourist beach town in the region. We never finished our conversation before I awoke. I had a strange dream last night, mind you most of my dreams are strange these days. I was inside my old elementary school and a classmate of mine and I were running around the interior halls of the building. I think we were looking for gardens I had planted. At one point we found ourselves in the main back stairs that had led up to the Kindergarten room. The stairs were covered in muddy dirt several feet thick and the surface was filled with a variety of vegetables.
I started picking them but when I stepped into the garden to reach more of the fruits, I sank into the mud up to my knees. My friend tried to pull me out and the dream ended when I was starting to say something to them. There was one other person in the dream, a guy, I never did get a good look at him. I do not think I knew who he was (comparing to real life). The mud, sinking, the garden, the school, even my friend, could all be explained in one way or another. At least, their materialization could, their specific presence in the dream scenario will take some reading. Garden - green, sign of big joy, productivity, focused approach to life Old friend from childhood – overwhelmed, overworked in waking life, good fortune in the near future Old school – knowledge, power My dreams point to good things coming, even if I do not feel it. Forks of the Credit - I have been trying to write a full article on all of the strange things that have gone on or stories I have heard about concerning the Forks of the Credit but I just never seem to find the time to sit down and do it. I have decided, instead, to write out all the individual stories and try to group them together as best I can under the Spirit Senses blog section. I guess the first and easiest story to write about would be the one I know personally firsthand. For that we must travel back to 1994 and a visit to the park with my, now, ex-wife. We loved going for walkabouts in nature and Forks of the Credit was always close to me, living in Brampton, but without a car I could not get there. The weather was decent when we went to the park, there were some clouds in the sky but nothing substantial, it was a typical summer day. We walked one of the longer trails through the park and I think we were at the railroad bridge when the clouds suddenly started rolling in. A storm was brewing and we decided we needed to head back to the car parked at the main entrance. I was, as they say, an empath and with a couple other incidents with the paranormal I could feel the electricity building in the air. As the rain started to fall it became increasingly hard to figure out where we were in thee park. I think we went the wrong way and found ourselves at least a kilometer or two from the parking lot with no signage or markers to guide us. The storm, which had one out of nowhere, was raging by this point. The thunder and lightning was intense and the rain was falling in heavy sheets reducing visibility to only about one hundred metres. It was intense and not knowing the terrain or where to go left us both quite disoriented. This storm, while common in the area, still did not feel normal. It came out of nowhere and raged with a ferocious intensity, we knew we had to get out of it and into the safety of the car. I could not see anything really, thanks to wearing glasses, so I was dependent on looking for familiar landmarks that might help take us back to civilization. The terrain is rolling hills filled with trees and long grasses. The open areas, normally a brief relief from the mosquitos of the forest, had turned into a mixing bowl of wind, rain and small debris of leaves and twigs. We stopped at one point trying to get our bearings. It was then that I noticed some old telephone poles along a track bare path. I knew, growing up in small town Ontario, that many farms had their phone and electricity running own the roadway to the farmhouse or, at the very least, a barns. I knew that, even if it took us out to the main road, this would lead us onto more solid ground. We followed the path and after what seemed like half an hour, but was more likely about ten minutes, we got close enough to recognize a trail we had taken into the park. In a couple minutes we were back at the car safe from the storm. During the storm and once we had reached the safety of the car, we both agreed this storm felt almost demonic in nature. If one could be the target of a malevolent paranormally charged storm I would question if this were not indeed one of these storms. We were alone in the park, the parking lot was deserted, and there was no indication ahead of time that this storm was even coming. It waited until we were the furthest from the car before it hit and raged with such intensity that we were lucky to find our way back safely. Honestly, I do not know, but like I said combined with everything else that has happened in this area over the years the idea of negatively charged paranormal activity would not be a stretch. What was this light anomaly I caught during an investigation at a nearby cemetery? It should be noted that I did not get any K2 or identifiable DVR/EVP responses. This was the same cemetery where our trail cam recorded the strange music late one evening.
Two photos, the original and one with Negative (invert image all channels), to show the form of the anomaly. The sun was located to the right behind the forest of trees but was visible through parts of the woods. It is likely the sun, but this is the first and only time I've captured this anomaly with this camera.
Things to disclose:
1. there was a party being held at a residence 1,000 metres away but the music was different and I could distinguish it on other recordings 2. after about 9 pm human activity was at a minimal in this location, but that does not mean this wasn't the ringtone of a smartphone 3. the nearest human residences were over 500 metres away 4. this is the only time I heard this music on over 30 recordings that evening 5. I'm trying to rule this out as unusual, to add to my 'brain library' of recognized sounds 6. MAX your volume, it's literally right at the start of the footage. Reply to this video or email me with your thoughts. I personally think it was just music that drifted in from somewhere else, but the way it presented itself on the audio was unusual to me. There are several other videos the camera took that night with strange anomalies on the recording but I ruled these as mechanical errors. Thanks, Kevin The nearest cemetery to here is a historic cemetery called the Inverhuron Park Cemetery. Has anyone been there before and experienced anything unusual? Feelings, a presence, shadows, anything out of the ordinary? We're just looking for "local legends" information to gather for this website. Email us today with your story! ledicarusmedia@mail.com
![]() I set up a trail camera last night. I was hoping to get some great footage but, of course, just as the light is about to fade the wind pushes a couple leaves down in front of the camera. This ends up repeatedly triggering the night vision motion activated camera. The closeness of the leaves to the LED light ends up obliterating most of the viewing area with bright white light. I did catch a couple strange things though, one of which will be in a video I'm releasing shortly. I wish the leaves had not blown in the way as this camera angle was one of the best ones I could find. Oh well, always another day. I'll have to set it up an hour later too so I catch less human activity. I used to say back in the 90s that you shouldn't be afraid of the shadows in the daytime. You should, however, fear the shadows at night. As it turns out I was referring to those now commonly known as 'shadow people'. I remember back then I was working security part time, mostly at construction sites. One time I was working at a site with two 4 storey housing complexes on it. I recall going for a foot patrol around the site, passing through the basement of one of the buildings. I could feel someone there, a presence, and I could swear that I saw a shadow figure as I went up the stairs back to ground level. I quit that job a short time later. First, they define “sleep paralysis” as a waking nightmare filled with anxiety and hallucinations. I guess at the time not only was the term unknown, but I was around thirteen years old and did not have my first “nightmare” (not really that scary I might add) until I was eighteen. It turns out that a few of the dreams I had had, during my teens, could be defined as nightmares but I did not feel afraid during them or after I woke up. My one instance of sleep paralysis goes like this. I believe I awoke during sleep (which follows the common definition) and sitting upright in my bed. I discovered that I could not move my arms, legs, or torso. My head and neck moved a little, but I saw something that would make me want to remain still anyways. There, at the foot of my bed, was a white misty form. It was not really in the shape of anything, but the height was similar to that of a child. We seemed to observe each other for a few seconds before it moved left passing from the front of the dresser and out of my room through the door. A moment later I saw a flash outside the window to my right. Now, had I not seen the light outside my window my investigation into this might have come up with a reasonable explanation for the light. The only problem is that the explanation does not fit all of the needed parameters to be possible. Our house was located a half a block from a roadway where three streets met on a small incline. This meant that the headlights of cars coming up two of the hills could, theoretically, shine at just the right angle to illuminate the side of our house. It was the most plausible theory, at first, but nearly two years of observations after ruled it was very unlikely to be the cause. There wee two factors that ruled out vehicle lights. First, the area between the hill and our house was visually blocked by a number of leafy trees (though in winter I concede that while the trees were bare the light would still be rare to reach my bedroom). Second, the angle of the headlights were incorrect to be able to enter into my bedroom to match the incident. The white light form appeared below four feet and this would be impossible to achieve with headlights located a storey below and over one hundred feet away. My studies concluded that, for the headlight theory to even be plausible, the beams of light would have streaked across the ceiling midpoint, from the right window, across to the door on my left and not below the halfway up the wall location of the windows. In other words, to get lower that the window ledge the light would have had to be up in the air slightly above my window ledge and over one hundred feet away to not be intense. This light moved with a sense of being. It remained long enough for me to be aware of its presence and to move in a way that defied a reasonable, albeit remote, explanation. That being said, and even though it can not be proven with repeated observations, I have ruled this incident as the hallucinogenic effects of sleep paralysis and not a paranormal entity. This instance, however, did open up my mind to the possibility of transient spirits. Ghosts that are not tied down to a single location or material item but drift at random or by conscious thought across our mortal plane. This concept was later supported by my reading of works of literature and movies I watched that showed spirits flying through the night sky lost without a place to call home. Here is another story to tell you about, from four different convenience stores located in north-west Columbus, Ohio. One is in a district called Linworth, another Muirfield, the third Hard Road, and the last one in North High Street. It has been over fifteen years since I have worked in these stores so to distinguish from one another will be a challenge. Each of these stores is believed to be haunted in some way, one by the spirit of a deceased maintenance worker and the one in Muirfield by disturbed ancient natives said to have lived in the area hundreds of years before the district was developed. At the very least the paranormal experiences included the distinct sound of a twelve pack of beer bottles being placed on the counter (sometimes after hours) to items being thrown or knocked off a shelf. Let us talk about the beer bottles first. Anyone working in these toes became familiar with two sounds. The first is the sound when someone smacks a hard pack of Marlboro lights against their flattened palm. The second sound is the thump and clink of a case of beer bottles being placed on the counter (a 12 pack of Bud Light usually). The latter was such a unique sound that you could hear it halfway across the store on a quiet day with light traffic. That sound became even more apparent after hours when there would be, at most, two of you locked (in some cases) in the store. I recall, at least two times, hearing the sound in a couple of stores. Once I recall working in the back of the store with a co-worker when both of us heard the sound. We both walked out onto the sales floor to find that no one was there. Another time, also with a co-worker, same situation but this time at the Muirfield store which was closed for the night. Next, and as I now know having looked into the paranormal more, were shadow people. I never asked if my co-workers had witnessed this, but at least one time I saw a shadow in the cramped back hallway of one of the stores. It was only a fleeting moment, out of the corner of my eye, but someone or something was there. You would feel a presence at a couple of the locations particularly when you knew you were alone in that part of the building. It was strong enough you would speak aloud thinking it was your co-worker but discover they were nowhere in sight or busy at the front counter with a customer. There are three specific incidents I can tell you about. One I will call “ghost music”, the next “window bang” and the third “stock tumble”. I was working as an assistant manager in each of these locations during the paranormal events. In the office of one store you could hear ghost music. It sounded like, and at first, we believed it to be, a ventilation fan turning slowly overhead. The blades making a squeak that sounded almost like the musical notes one would hear from a jewelry music box. It was not overly loud, but clear enough it sounded like a song that none of us knew. Imagine, if you will, opening a small music box and letting it play down until it almost needed to be wound up again, slow but steady pinging almost squeaky notes. My ex, who also worked for the company, and I would hear it while doing paperwork in the small office space. It was re-affirmed when we held a meeting with one of our new shift leaders. About five minutes into the meeting he got a strange look on his face and when we asked him what was wrong, he looked up and asked if we could hear the music too. We had a maintenance worker come in to do some repairs and we asked him to take a look in the ceiling for the defective fan, maybe he could oil it or something we thought. He told us a couple surprising but not entirely unexpected things. First, there was no fan located in the ceiling above our heads. The cover above us was for an intake and did not include a fan. The nearest fan was way down at the other end of the hallway over fifty feet away. When we told him about the sound of music, he told us that his father, who had died some years earlier, had been the regular mechanic for all of the company stores in the area. We both agreed that the sounds could be made by something his spirit was doing, letting everyone know he was ‘still on the job’. The “window bang” story took place at the Linworth store. For a short time, we had a store manager who lacked both people skills and a sense of humour. We told her the store was haunted and she absolutely refused to believe it, telling us we were crazy and to stop telling her stories she did not believe. That was until one day she was working along for a few hours one afternoon. She told us that she was working in the first aisle stocking pop bottles with her back to the large plate glass windows along the front of the store. Suddenly, while she was knelt down, there came a loud bang against the glass. It startled her and she spun around quickly to see what made the noise. She could not see anyone through the windows or seconds later when she stepped outside. The parking lot was empty, no cars, no people. She felt “something” had made their presence known to her and she became a believer (at least of the store being haunted) after that. The last story to tell you about happened to me personally. Back then I had somewhat of a short fuse temper, and when people did stupid things that made my life harder I would get angry and sometimes throw or kick things, never at people of course and usually to my financial or physical detriment. For a couple months our store manager got the brilliant idea to keep the service door locked when they were not at the store. Apparently, we were all thieves and needed to be restricted (interestingly this same manager was later fired months later for theft). As a result of the door being locked, we were forced to pule the disgusting bags of garbage inside the door and someone would take them out in the morning. One evening I had had enough, and I took the garbage bag and threw it at the door with a thump. It did not break open, fortunately, but it did make me feel a little better. I walked down the runway behind the counter to the break leading out to the sales floor. It was next to the cash register and faced the novelties endcap (one of the most cluttered and disliked displayers in the store). As I stepped onto the sales floor, at least six feet away from the endcap, one of the taller cardboard shelf displays fell over and spilled products all across the floor. My co-worker was nowhere near the display and there were no customers in the store. It was as if a spirit or even the store itself was displeased with my angry outburst and decided to teach me a lesson by knocking over a display it knew I would dread having to pick up. I am inclined to believe a poltergeist was to blame for the clear reaction to my actions halfway across the store. For this UFO/UAP story I was young, I think around twelve, so you can take that into consideration when you read this, I still do.
I was living in Chesley, Ontario, on a corner lot on the east side of town near the community center. My childhood bedroom was on the second floor with two windows that faced the northern sky. My view was over the houses on the next street over. A single, very tall, pine tree stood between us and the fourth house down that street, ten o’clock to my position. It was late, but summertime, so just past dusk, I would estimate past eleven at night. I was laying in bed and happened to look out right when the light appeared. It traveled in a horizontal direction and then hovered in the sky to the right of the tree. Recalling the event now I estimate that the light source would have been at least halfway across town (over half a kilometer away). It was a single bright white light resembling the landing light on an aircraft, but I could not see any lights of any other colour. The possible craft hovered silently for a minute and, at the same time, I heard a distant airplane engine-like sound. I do not think it was the craft for reasons I will explain. The light moved vertically straight up and out of sight above the visible roof line of our house. I do not believe it was a domestic aircraft for the following reasons. First, yes, there was an airplane noise, but this has two special considerations. Commercial aircraft, that typically flew over our town at night, were usually at ten thousand feet or higher. And, ninety-nine percent of airplanes in existence cannot fly vertically straight up. I thought that it could be a helicopter, but helicopters typically sound distinctively different from airplanes and we lived far away from anywhere helicopters would be. The police use helicopters, but our sleepy rural town was far from being an epicenter for crime back in the eighties enough to warrant the use of a helicopter. I am, to this day, not willing to conclude that the light source was alien in origin, but it remains an UFO/UAP in my books. In my life, so far, I have had only two incidents of witnessing a UFO/UAP for myself. I am certain other instances have occurred, but I have paid far less attention to the skies since 2000 due to the substantial presence of satellites and manmade debris. It was a typical evening, August 31, 2015, in Nordegg, Alberta. I was working the closing shift at the local general store. I had just walked up the slight hill, to the store, returning from the nearby hotel where we dropped off our paperwork. It was normal for me to look into the night sky as I walked, and tonight was no exception. I'd been living in the area for over a year and had grown familiar with the variety of satellites, space debris, and high-altitude planes that frequented the night sky. In our higher elevation satellites appeared as bright as aircraft. One, in particular, made a routine trek across the sky appearing brightest as it neared the horizon of the mountains. I was about twenty meters from the store when something caught my eye in the sky just east of the hamlet. I saw a bright orange light heading directly towards the west. I thought it was a light on a landing plane it was that bright, but it was orange like a streetlight, and it appeared to waver like it was on fire. It approached the town then turned in a slow semicircle to the south, then headed back east and disappeared into the clouds. After it had disappeared, I went back into the store, completed my closing and proceeded to head home. When I got home, I checked the internet for a possible explanation for what I had witnessed. I was immediately able to rule out a few possibilities. There was no sound or typical aircraft lighting so that ruled out airplanes and helicopters. Next, I considered military drones, as the craft was too big for a domestic sized drone. I checked the internet and the nearest known military base equipped with drones was Winnipeg (CFB Winnipeg). While it is possible, I calculated that a drone could make it to the mountains it would not be able to make the return flight back to base. Add to the fact that I am pretty certain drones, like aircraft, would not be illuminated in this way if at all. The next possibility, albeit remote, was that of a hot air balloon. While a hot air balloon follows similar flight characteristics, a bright orange shimmering glow from the burning fuel, to give it life, would typically illuminate part of the balloon as well. Add to that when you increase the burn to give the balloon life a roaring or wooshing sound can be heard even from the ground. As I mentioned previously no sound could be heard from this anomaly. We must also take into account that hot air balloons typically do not fly at night or launch from such high elevations towards mountains. I can not see anyone reasonably choosing to pilot such a flight or even authorization of such a risky flight for a view of the darkness. After I ruled out other possibilities such as Chinese lanterns, and smaller aircraft like gliders and ultralights, that left only one category, UFO/UAP. I checked for other UFO/UAP reports that night and I found a similar one in Winnipeg, I think it was. I cannot recall the calculations I used to determine travel time, but it seemed to match up closely to the other sighting by their description of it. Even with this collaborating eyewitness account, and three other on-the-ground witnesses in Nordegg to the event I, still, to this day, rule the event as witnessing a UFO/UAP. I have since read multiple accounts, from across North America, describing a similar, if not exact, UFO/UAP. Similar eyewitness accounts:
https://youtu.be/zmBtaeTYvmE https://www.fox46.com/news/indian-trail-family-claims-to-have-seen-ufo/ I went outside for a few minutes. It is partly cloudy tonight. I walked out to the middle of the driveway and looked up at the sky.
It was dark, we have no lights in the driveway so when the flashlight went out for the first few seconds it was pitch black until my right eye adjusted. It is cold outside tonight, only ten degrees Celsius (50 Fahrenheit), but I did not notice it even dressed in shorts, a t-shirt and my bright blue foam clogs. Through my right eye, the one with pigmentary glaucoma, I could make out the stars and a cloud mass passing overhead. I can't see the detail of the stars, I haven't been able to since about 6th grade (glasses in 7th grade). They are just fuzzy points of light. I remember the last time I could see the stars. No, not the specific date, and rather it was the first time I guess that I couldn't see them. I had my new glasses but I had lost that clarity I once had of the moon and stars. I remember it was winter. I was tobogganing with a few friends and we walked up to the top of the Centennial Park hill. I looked up at the clear night sky full of stars and all I could see were fuzzy white spots. I have since wondered if my eyesight was ever as clear and exact as I once believed it to be. I will never know for certain. Through my left eye, the one with the oil bubble in it from a second surgery (scleral buckle) to repair a detached retina, the night sky appeared brighter. The clouds were whiter, the sky a slight light glow, and the stars, though slanted off to the side and watery, were a little bit brighter. I could see the Big Dipper which appeared above the house, though I know it is much farther away, the whole length of it. I picked a cluster of stars and made a wish. Yes, more than one star. You can't be too careful picking just one star these days, you might pick the one least likely to grant your wish. Yes, I am being silly but you just never know. We are all made of stars after all, you never know who might be listening or watching. Peaceful and quiet, no sounds of humans with little respect for others, no cats scurrying about in restless spring fever, no dogs barking and whining at the wind. I could hear a bird chirping quietly somewhere, perhaps maybe a baby bird not ready to go to sleep in the nest yet? I almost wandered off down the lane out to the road for a walk but I am hardly dressed for such an excursion at one thirty in the morning. All I desire for this year is to have my vision back to "normal" and be able to, see the stars at night, even as blurry little points of light, once again. |
